As a Ford Ranger enthusiast who enjoys modifying my Ford Rangers for off-road use, I quickly discovered that there wasn’t any websites dedicated to the subject. So in 1999, I created TheRangerStation.com. As That site began to grow, I began to see a lot of Bronco II owners join the site, since it shared the same platform with the Ranger. That caused me to create the 'Bronco II Corral' as a photo gallery, which spawned off in to the website you're visiting today. Thanks for taking the time to check it out.

What possessed Bobby Quarnstrom to build a Bronco II? And to not just slightly improve it, but to make his 1986 model into a full-bore 4×4 off road rig that he regularly takes on hard core, off-road trips to Baja? He literally bought it for $180, that’s why. Actually, he bought two of them for […]

In 2012 King of the Hammers added a race called the Smittybilt Every Man Challenge (EMC) in response to comments that the main race was getting too expensive for the average Joe to compete in. Here’s a great example of a Ford Bronco II that’s not only built to be a trail rig, but also has a nicely built exo-cage to protect the vehicle and occupants during a rollover. The cage incorporates a custom swingout tire carrier to allow the rear hatch to open. On the front, the cage incorporates […]

“Ruth’s” Bronco II was one of the extreme Bronco II’s that has graced this site, and I didn’t want it to be lost and forgotten with time. When Ruth bought the Bronco II it was still stock. He lifted it with custom made suspension blocks, and made his own bodylift out of  2×2″ tubing and all-thread. […]
